100% Client-Side Processing

TOON Converter is designed as a privacy-first tool. All conversionsincluding code conversions in the editor and file conversions in the file moderun entirely in your browser. Your JSON, TOON, CSV, YAML, XML, and uploaded files are processed locally on your device.

  • We do not send your input or output data to any server.
  • Your conversion data never leaves your browser session.
  • When you close or refresh the page, the in-memory conversion data is discarded.

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or log any of the data you paste into the editor or upload via the file converter.

  • Your conversion data or file contents
  • Personal information (name, email address, etc.)
  • User accounts or authentication data
  • IP addresses or location data
  • Browsing history or on-site behavior profiles

No Tracking, No Analytics, No Cookies

TOON Converter does not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts. We do not use cookies or similar identifiers for tracking or profiling.

  • No Google Analytics or other analytics providers
  • No advertising networks or remarketing pixels
  • No user journey or behavior tracking

No Accounts, No Login

You can use the full functionality of TOON Converter without creating an account or providing any personal information.

  • No signup or registration
  • No passwords or authentication tokens
  • All usage is anonymous

Local Storage & Preferences

We may use your browser's localStorage to remember simple preferences so the app is more convenient to use.

  • Selected conversion mode (Code vs File)
  • Last used formats (e.g., JSON TOON)
  • UI preferences such as theme or layout

This data is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Third-Party Libraries & Services

TOON Converter uses open-source libraries to perform parsing, token counting, and TOON encoding, such as:

  • @toon-format/toon for TOON encoding/decoding
  • Papaparse for CSV parsing
  • js-yaml for YAML parsing
  • fast-xml-parser for XML parsing
  • js-tiktoken/lite for token counting

These libraries run inside your browser. They do not send your content to external services as part of normal usage.

External Links

Our interface may include links to external sites such as GitHub, npm, documentation pages, or related resources. Those sites are operated independently of TOON Converter and have their own privacy policies.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site you visit via links from this application.

Security

Because all conversions are executed locally in your browser and we do not store any of your data, the server-side attack surface is minimal. For best protection:

  • Always access TOON Converter over HTTPS
  • Keep your browser and operating system up to date
  • Avoid using untrusted extensions that can read or modify page content

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect improvements to TOON Converter or changes in applicable regulations. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
